Del Davis and a little boy–or two

I have no idea who this little boy is. It might be David Patterson or it might be another grandson. From his obituary, we know Del had 12 grandchildren. No mention is made of great-grandchildren but I assume there are not only great-grandchildren but also great-great-grandchildren by now.

There is also this picture but I don’t know if this is the same boy as the one above or a different boy:

Dodson Barber and Beauty Shop

The first two are pictures of my husband’s aunt and her beauty school graduating class. She went from here to work with Charles Dodson in Jasper, MO in his barber shop. I’m not sure of the timeline but she and Charlie were married for the last two or so years of his life and seemed quite happy in Jasper.

The pictures of the women in front of the shop include one of his aunt and another woman whom we do not know.

These are the last pictures I have of Charles Dodson. They lived in Jasper, MO where he was a barber and she was a beautician. I have no idea how they met but they seemed to have had a good life–for the two years and a few months that they were married.

I will be posting one more Dodson post and that is of the aunt’s beautician’s school graduating class and also another woman in front of Dodson’s Barber Shop in Jasper, MO.

Delmer Davis Part 3

Del and Aunt loved to travel and take pictures as evidenced by the number of pictures they left and by the diversity of places they were taken at. We have pictures of family at a place called Squam Lake, vacation pictures in Arizona, California and Florida and other unidentified places.

Del not only loved to travel, he loved to relax and that included fishing and swimming.
