Dodson Barber and Beauty Shop

The first two are pictures of my husband’s aunt and her beauty school graduating class. She went from here to work with Charles Dodson in Jasper, MO in his barber shop. I’m not sure of the timeline but she and Charlie were married for the last two or so years of his life and seemed quite happy in Jasper.

The pictures of the women in front of the shop include one of his aunt and another woman whom we do not know.

These are the last pictures I have of Charles Dodson. They lived in Jasper, MO where he was a barber and she was a beautician. I have no idea how they met but they seemed to have had a good life–for the two years and a few months that they were married.

I will be posting one more Dodson post and that is of the aunt’s beautician’s school graduating class and also another woman in front of Dodson’s Barber Shop in Jasper, MO.

Our aunt was only married to Charles Dodson for the last two years of his life. He was a barber and died in Jasper, MO in February 1949. Also any indication of who the other people are in the top two pictures would be appreciated.
